Do Customers receive an Order Confirmation Email?

When a customer places an order on your store, they will automatically be emailed a Payment Confirmation Email from whichever payment processor, such as PayPal, was used to pay for the order.

You can use the Settings > Ecommerce Settings > Order Notification Settings section of the control panel to enable and customise your autoresponder emails. With this feature enabled, an Order Notification Email will also be automatically sent to your customers when an order is placed on your store. You can also customise the contents of the email and set whether or not you want to attach the relevant invoice.

You can choose to automatically send each Order Notifcation to multiple recipients. This can be useful if you want to send a copy of the email or invoice to your own email address to help you process the order as quickly as possible.
