        We are in the process of upgrading our entire range of servers to use the power of cloud computing, enhancing overall load speeds throughout the world. This is an ongoing process that should be completed within the next month.

      • Customer Delivery Addresses
        Previously, if a customer's Delivery Address matched the Billing Address, we simply entered "Same as Billing" in its place, both in the Ecommerce > View Orders section of your control panel and on your invoices. To avoid any confusion, we have updated this so that the Delivery Address is now always shown, even if it exactly matches the Billing Address.

      • Help Videos Updated

        You can now set a Custom URL for any product or category page on your store. For product pages, please edit a product and see the "Search Engine Optimisation" panel. For categories, visit the Manage > Categories section, select a category, and then click the "Set Custom URL" button. We will also allow Custom URLs for non-product pages in the near future.

        After saving a product in the Manage > Products section, you will now be taken to an intermediary page asking what you would like to do next, such as adding a brand new product or copying the previous product.

      • Return URL for Google Checkout
        You can now set a Return URL that customers will be returned to after paying for an order through Google Checkout. This URL can be set in the Ecommerce > Checkouts section.

      • Coupons & Vouchers Update
        The Marketing > Coupons & Vouchers section has been upgraded to include tabs above the coupon list that allow you to easily view different types of coupons, based on their status.

        We have redeveloped the Settings > Ecommerce Settings > Invoice Settings section to add several new invoice designs.

This section provides a range of data feeds that allow you to submit your products to various shopping platforms, like ShopMania.       • Google Category Assignment
        Google will soon be implementing their own category structure for products. When uploading products to Google Shopping, you will soon be required to select one of these categories for each of your products. The easiest way to do this is to map your existing categories to Google's category structure. Your products will then be automatically assigned to the relevant category when uploaded to Google. For more information, please visit the Manage > Categories section of your control panel and click the "Map Google Categories" button.

        You can also manually assign a Google Category to a product whilst editing it using the "Advanced Details" panel.

        Google is due to implement this new requirement around the 22nd of September.

      • "Where did you hear about us" Feature
        You can use the Settings > Basket Settings section of your control panel to enable a new feature of the basket on your store: the "Where did you hear about us" field. If enabled, a dropdown menu will be shown in the final stage of the checkout process containing any options you specify.

      • Create External Links
        You can now create external links to other websites using the Manage > Pages section of your control panel. The position of these links can be altered in the same way as other links to non-product pages on your store.

      • Price Details Panel
        The "Price Details" panel shown while editing a product has been updated. You can now enter the price before or after tax, and the rest of the price breakdown will be worked out automatically.

      • Postage Rule Maximum Values
        By default, the final band in each Postage Rule automatically has its Maximum value set to "unlimited". This ensures that your customers will always be offered a valid postage option. You can now override this and set a fixed Maximum limit instead. To do this, just visit the Manage > Postage section and click on the red "Unlimited" link shown in the final band of Postage Rule. You will then be able to change the Maximum so that it uses the exact value you entered when creating the Postage Rule. This can be useful in situations where a particular Postage Rule can only apply to specific, small order values, such as a Courier service that can only deliver goods up to a certain weight limit.

      • MoneyBookers Integrated
        We have now integrated the MoneyBookers payment gateway into the system. For further information, please see the Ecommerce > Checkouts section of the control panel. In the Ecommerce > Checkouts section, you can now also see a list of flags that represent the currencies supported by each payment processor.

      • New Currencies Added
        We have added support for the following currencies into the system: Croatian kuna, Jordanian dinar, Latvian lats, Moroccan dirham, Omani rial, Romanian lei, and Serbian dinar.

      • Date Format Setting
        The dates shown in your control panel and on your invoices are shown in the language associated with your Store Currency. You can now override this setting and select whatever format you want by using the "Date Format" panel in the Settings > Store Settings section.

      • Design Updates
        We have carried out a few minor design changes in the control panel, and new users will now be presented with a short Getting Started introduction when first logging in, covering the basics about their store and the control panel.
  • Control Panel Update v. 2.5.5

      • Pay by Other Redevelopment
        The "Pay by Other" system in the Ecommerce > Checkouts section has been redeveloped. You can now create multiple "Other" payment methods, such as Cheque payments and Bank Transfers, and each will be shown separately to your customers. You can even upload your own Payment Icon for each of these payment methods.

      • Category IDs
        While in the Manage > Categories section, you can tick the "Show Category IDs" box to view the ID Number of each Category. You can use these IDs to specify Additional Categories for your products when using the Import/Export > Import Products section of the control panel.

      • Manage > Postage Update
        If your Postage Rules calculate the postage cost based on the total order weight and you have any products that do not have a Weight value associated with them (or have a Weight of "0"), a warning will appear at the top of the Manage > Postage section to let you know.

      • Manage > Product Options Update
        You can now view which products are linked to each of your Product Options directly via the Manage > Product Options section.
  • Control Panel Update v. 2.5.4

      • Manage > Products Updates
        The Manage > Products section has been updated. You can now see a range of icons next to each product which let you know the status of your products. These icons show whether a product is Featured, Hidden, or has the Checkout Disabled. These icons can be clicked to quickly change the Settings of a product without leaving the product list. Icons will also be shown if a product currently has a Special Offer Discount applied to it or if a product is out of stock (as long as you have Stock Management enabled).

      • Manage > Images Updates
        We have added an option to switch between Grid and List Views when checking your images. The Grid View shows thumbnails of each image, whereas the List View simply shows the file names. Use the View Icons at the top-right of the page to switch between views. If you are unable to see any of these changes, please refresh the page the bypass any file caching in your browser.

      • View Customers Updates
        The customers shown in the Ecommerce > View Customers section now have a "Created" date associated with them to let you easily see which are the most recent.

      • Invoice Template Changes
        We have slightly modified the design of your Invoices to make them a little clearer. We also plan to add several new Invoice templates in future to allow you to choose whichever suits your store the most.

      • View Orders Section Updates
        The Ecommerce > View Orders section of the control panel has been redeveloped. You can now carry out simple tasks (like marking orders as Closed or sending Dispatch Emails) directly from the order list. The order details page has also been updated to provide a clearer interface, giving easy access to the details you need to process the order.

      • Importer Updates
        It is now possible to specify Search Tags, Additional Categories and Related Products when using the Import/Export section to import a CSV file.

      • Google Shopping Updates
        We have redeveloped the Marketing > Google Tools > Google Shopping section of the control panel. Support for the following target countries has also been integrated: Italy, Spain, Netherlands and Australia.

      • Messages Updates
        The Messages section of the control panel has been redeveloped and now functions in a similar way to a standard email account.

      • Translate Updates
        The Design > Translate section has been redesigned and now features tabs to categorise the various translatable elements. The list of translatable elements has also been standardised across all of our designs. In future, we will carry out additional updates to allow you to retain your translations when switching design, and it will also enable us to integrate support for multi-language stores.

      • View Customers Section Updates
        The Ecommerce > View Customers section has been refined.

      • Design Changes
        Various other design improvements have been carried out throughout the control panel.

      • Stock Management of Product Options
        You can now track the stock levels of your Product Options. While editing a product in the Manage > Products section, the "Product Options" panel now contains a "Product Option Stock Control" button that allows you to set the stock levels of each product variation.

        To track the stock levels of a particular Product Option, tick the "Track Stock Levels" box and a list will be generated showing all of the possible variations. You can then set the stock level for each variation. The total stock for the product will be set automatically based on the sum of all variations.

      • Add Tax to Postage Costs
        We have added the option to apply tax to your postage costs in the Manage > Postage section. Under each Postage Rule you will see an "Add Tax to Postage" option; once set to "Yes", you can enter a tax percentage which will be added to the costs for that Postage Rule.

      • Product Selection System Updated
        We have updated the system used for selecting multiple products at once in the Manage > Products section. The small tickbox shown to the left of each product can be used to select it, and you can also use the tickbox at the top of that column to select or deselect all visible products. Once a product has been selected, additional options will appear above the product list. We intend to expand on this system in future to allow you to easily make changes to multiple products at once, such as re-assigning the category or setting them as Featured Products.

      • Minimum Order Value
        You can now set a Minimum Order Value via the Settings > Basket Settings section of the control panel. The order Sub-Total (before Tax and Postage) must exceed this value before the customer is allowed to checkout.

      • Force Terms and Conditions Acceptance
        You can also use the Settings > Basket Settings section to set whether your customers must take action to actively accept your Terms and Conditions while checking out. With "No" selected, a message will be shown to your customers explaining that they are accepting your Terms and Conditions simply by proceeding with their purchase. With "Yes" selected, customers will not be able to proceed with their order unless they actively tick a box, confirming that they agree to your Terms and Conditions.

      • Tax Rate by Country/State
        You can now charge different rates of tax to customers depending on their location. To customise these options, please visit the Settings > Price Settings section of the control panel and take a look at the "Tax Options" panel.

      • Postage/Tax Estimator
        We have added an optional Postage/Tax Estimator that can be activated via the "Postage/Tax Estimator" panel in the Settings > Basket Settings section. If you enable the Postage/Tax Estimator, it will appear on the first page of the basket on your store. The postage and tax estimates are calculated assuming the shopper is located in your Default Checkout Country/State as set in the "Localisation" panel in the Settings > Basket Settings section.

      • New Settings Sections
        We have added a brand new Settings section to the control panel. This new section provides easy access to all of the settings of your store, and effectively replaces the old Design > Display Preferences and Ecommerce > Ecommerce Settings sections. The new Settings section contains several sub-sections, covering Store, Design, Stock, Ecommerce, Price and Basket Settings.

      • Required Checkout Fields
        You can use the new Settings > Basket Settings section to show and hide certain fields shown during checkout, and also set them as Required or Optional.

      • Postage Rule Country Filter
        Each of your Postage Rules in the Manage > Postage section can now be restricted to specific countries or states. Using this system, it should no longer be possible for a customer to select a postage method that is not applicable to them.

      • Design Changes
        To coincide with the launch of the new Settings section, we have also carried out a number of graphical updates to the control panel. While viewing the control panel, you may need to refresh the page (by pressing F5) to force your browser to check for the updated files.

        You can now set a CC (Carbon Copy) email address for your Dispatch Emails in the Ecommerce > Ecommerce Settings > Dispatch Email Settings section. Any email address(es) entered will also receive a copy of your Dispatch Emails.

      • Updated Import/Export Section
        The Import/Export > Import Products section now allows you to attach your existing Product Option templates to products. The Import/Export > Export Products section now allows you to export full Image URLs and Plain Text Product Descriptions.

      • Delete Customer Accounts
        The Ecommerce > View Customers section has been updated to allow you to delete customers and accounts from the list.

      • Design Changes
        We've also carried out a range of design changes to the control panel.
  • Control Panel Update v. 2.3.3

      • Customer Accounts Launched
        We have launched a brand new Customer Accounts feature. To enable or disable this feature, please visit the Ecommerce > View Customers section of the control panel. With Customer Accounts enabled, customers can create Accounts to save their address details, view previous orders and speed up the checkout process.

        Once enabled, you can also select whether you would like to allow customers to checkout as a Guest. If Checkout as Guest is enabled, Customer Accounts become optional, allowing your customers to checkout as a Guest if they prefer. If disabled, Customers must create an Account in order to checkout.

        We plan to expand on this system over the coming months to integrate Trade Accounts and other features.

      • Updated Import/Export > Import Products
        The Import/Export > Import Products section has been redesigned to provide a simpler layout and much more integrated help. We have also added the facility to import your Bulk Discount settings, and we'll be adding a system to allow you to map your Product Options to products in future.

      • Design Changes
        We've also carried out a range of minor design changes to the control panel.
  • Control Panel Update v. 2.3.2

      • Rollout of New Basket
        We have begun the rollout of the new Basket/Checkout system. As of the 26th of January, the new system is now in place for all stores designs. The brand new Customer Accounts system will be activated around the 31st of January.

      • Additional Translatable Text
        As part of the rollout of the new Basket/Checkout system, you will see a large number of additional translatable tokens have been added to the Design > Translate section. This covers all of the new text that is shown in the updated Basket/Checkout system.

      • Product Condition
        You can now set the Condition of a product (New/Used/Refurbished) via the Advanced Details panel while editing a product.

      • New Filters
        We have added two new options to the filtering system in the Manage > Products section. You can now filter by Brand and Supplier.

        You can now sort your product list in the Manage > Products section by Product Code using the dropdown menu at the top of the page.

      • Search Tags
        You can now add Search Tags to each of your products via the Advanced Details panel in the Manage > Products section. When a customer uses the product search on your store, the system will try to match their query against your product names and descriptions, as well as any Search Tags you enter. You can use this system to ensure that your products can be found for specific searches, even if the text isn't included in the product name or description.

      • Social Bookmarks Feature Updated
        We have altered the Social Bookmarks feature and it is now powered by AddThis.com. This provides several benefits, such as the main bookmark links automatically change based on usage statistics and your customers' locations, and it also uses a more compact design. As always, you can enable or disable this feature via the Social Bookmarks panel in the Design > Display Preferences section.

      • Customer Support Ticket System
        We have redeveloped our customer support systems to make it easier for you to keep track of any outstanding questions. You can view all of your outstanding support tickets in the Support section of the control panel.

      • 11 New Currencies
        The following currencies are now supported: Bulgarian Lev, Chilean Peso, Columbian Peso, Estonian Kroon, Icelandic Krona, Lithuanian Litas, Kuwait Dinar, Nigerian Naira, Qatar Riyal, Thai Baht and Taiwan Dollar.

      • Add a Background Image to your Store
        You can now add a background image to your store via the Design > Customise Design > Background Image section of the control panel.

      • Category Link Depth
        Until now, the Category Links on your store only showed the top-level Parent Categories. You can now use the Browsing Options panel in the Design > Display Preferences section to set your store to show the first level of Sub-Categories as well!

      • Add Banners to your Store
        You can now add banners, links and even Google AdSense to your store via the Design > Customise Design > Banners section of the control panel. This section can also be reached using the Marketing > Google Tools > Google AdSense option in the main menu.

      • Number of Products Per Page
        We have added an additional option to the "Browsing Options" panel in the Design > Display Preferences section that allows you to set exactly how many products will be shown per page when browsing your store.

      • "Find an Order" Tool
        While in the Ecommerce > View Orders section, you can now use the "Find an Order" panel on the right to search for a specific Order Number.

      • Export Orders
        A customised spreadsheet of your order history can now be exported via the Import/Export > Export Orders section.

      • Unique Product Identifers (UPIs)
        You can now add Unique Product Identifiers to your products via the Advanced Details panel while editing a product.

        Unique Product Identifiers are product codes associated with an individual product. Also known as Global Trade Identification Numbers (GTINs), unique product identifiers include UPC, EAN (in Europe), and ISBN. Along with other identifiers such as brand and MPN, these values can be used by Google Shopping to match users' queries to your products when a search is carried out on Google's Product Search.

      • UPIs in Import/Export
        Support for modifying UPIs for a product has been added to the Import/Export section of the control panel.

      • Postage Rule Display Order

      • Authorize.net Integration
        We have just launched a brand new payment method that you can now offer to your customers. For more information, please see the Ecommerce > Checkouts section of the control panel.

      • Dispatch Email Customisation
        You can now customise your Dispatch Emails via the Ecommerce > Ecommerce Settings > Dispatch Email Settings section. These emails can be manually sent to your customers when viewing the details of an order in the View Orders section.

      • New Display Preferences
        We have added a new set of preferences to the Design > Display Preferences section: Localisation Options. The Default Checkout Country allows you to set which country will be initially selected during checkout. The Default Display Currency lets you set which currency will be selected by default when a customer visits your store (please note, this does not alter your Store Currency as set in the My Account section of the control panel - it simply displays your prices in the chosen currency).

      • Automatic Order Confirmation Emails
        We have added a new section of the control panel: Ecommerce > Ecommerce Settings > Order Notification Settings. You can use this section to setup confirmation emails that are automatically sent to your customers as soon as an order is placed. You can even attach the invoice, customise the contents of the email and forward a copy of the email to yourself!

      • German Google Shopping
        We now support product uploads to the German version of Google Shopping.

      • Multi-Store Accounts
        If you have more than one store, you can now manage all of them via a single account. Simply use the My Account section of the control panel to make your Login Details the same for each store, and your account will automatically be converted into a Multi-Store Account. Once converted, you will see a dropdown menu at the top-right of the control panel that allows you to quickly and easily switch between your accounts.

      • Enable/Disable Logo
        You can now set your logo to be Visible or Hidden via the Design > Customise Design > Logo section of the control panel.

      • Order Notes
        You can now add Notes to each of your orders via the Ecommerce > View Orders section of the control panel. Feel free to use these Notes to keep track of the status of your orders.

      • Additional Updates
        We have also carried out various other minor changes, such as a few design improvements and additional category filtering within the Manage > Products. Also, the Invoice Settings section of the control panel has now been moved to Ecommerce > Ecommerce Settings > Invoice Settings.
