Language Packs

A step-by-step guide detailing how to add and manage your language and translations from within your Freewebstore Control Panel.

You can easily change your language or translate any word, phrase, or sentence on your store.

How to Edit your Language

1. Log into your control panel.

2. Go to Design > Theme Editor.

3. Click ABC in the top right corner.

4. A pop-up will appear.

5. On the left-hand side, you will see a list of all words, phrases, and sentences on your store. Click in the columns to the right of the word, phrase, or sentence you want to change to add your new text.

6. Click Save.

How to Add a New Language

1. Log into your control panel.

2. Go to Design > Theme Editor.

3. Click ABC in the top right corner.

4. A pop-up will appear.

5. Click Add New Language.

6. Select a language from the dropdown menu. If we do not have a language available, click Custom to create a brand new one.

7. Click Save.

How to Change your Default Language

1. Log into your control panel.

2. Go to Design > Theme Editor.

3. Click ABC in the top right corner.

4. A pop-up will appear.

5. If you do not already have an extra language added, add one first.

6. Click the Cogs icon next to the language.

7. Click Make Default.

8. Click Save.

How to Delete a Language

You can only delete additional language packs, as your store always requires at least one language.

1. Log into your control panel.

2. Go to Design > Theme Editor.

3. Click ABC in the top right corner.

4. A pop-up will appear.

5. Click the Cogs icon next to the language you want to delete.

6. Click Delete.
