How do I map categories for Google Shopping?

When uploading products to Google Shopping, you are required to assign each of your products to a Google Category.

The easiest way to do this is to map your existing categories to Google's category structure. Your products will then be automatically assigned to the relevant category when uploaded to Google.

You can also manually assign a Google Category to a product whilst editing it.

All of the categories and sub-categories on your store are listed. To assign one to a Google Category, find it in the list and click the Map button. A pop-up window will then appear showing a list of all of Google's categories. Simply click on the appropriate category and then click the Save button to assign it.
