A step-by-step guide detailing how to change your font for your free online store from within your Freewebstore Control Panel.

Freewebstore is directly integrated with Google Fonts, so you can choose from over 1,000 fonts for your store. Pick the right font and your branding is complete.

On the new design system you change your store's font in the Website Theme editor. The font you choose applies to the text across your whole store.

Change your font

1. Log in to your Freewebstore Control Panel.

2. Go to Design > Website Theme.

3. Click Design on the left, then Typography.

4. Click any font to preview it on your store. Use Search fonts... to find one by name, or click Load more fonts to see more.

5. When you're happy, click Save at the top of the screen.

Heading capitals and font size

In the same Typography panel you can also choose:

• Heading capitals: Title Case gives every word in your headings and product names a capital letter. As typed shows them exactly as you wrote them.

• Font size: Compact, Default, Comfortable or Large. Some fonts read small and others large, so this lets you adjust the size of all the text on your store.

These two settings save as soon as you click them. You'll find the same choices in your Brand Kit.

Use your Brand Kit font

Changing the font in your Brand Kit does not change the font on your store. To use your Brand Kit font on your store:

1. Go to Design > Website Theme, then click Design and Brand kit.

2. Click Preview this font on your store. (This button only appears when your store's font is different from your Brand Kit.)

3. Click Save to keep it, or Discard to go back.

Can't find a font?

Unfortunately, if the font you want to use isn't in the list you won't be able to use it. However, there are over 1,000 fonts available to choose from, so you should be able to find a similar one.

Older designs

If your store still uses one of our older designs:

1. Go to Design > Theme Editor.

2. Click Design in the top right of the editor and choose Fonts.

3. Click any font in the list on the left to preview it on your store.

4. Click Save.
