QR Codes allow your shoppers to scan the image with their phone or tablet camera. Once scanned, it will open the product, page, or category that the QR code is linked to.
This is a great way to market your online store within your physical store, at events, in your order packaging, and more.
To get started with Freewebstore's QR codes app, you will need to enable it via the App Center. To do this:
Log in to your control panel.
Go to the App Center.
Locate and click the QR Codes app.
Click Enable App in the top right-hand corner of your screen.
A little window will open, confirm that you would like to enable the app by clicking Enable App again.
After enabling the QR codes app, you will be faced with a screen similar to that in figure 1 below.
To generate a QR code for a product, page or category:
Click Add QR Code once inside the QR code app.
You will then see a new page load that allows you to enter the Title, select QR code type and then search for the category, page or product you would like to link the QR code to.
Once you have selected the page that you want to link to, your QR code will generate to the right of your screen. You will then be able to download this image (as a PNG or SVG file) and share it as you wish.
When you have generated your QR Code, Save.
Now, when you enter your QR code app, it will display the saved QR Codes for you to download again and edit if needed.
To delete a code you no longer use:
Log in to your control panel.
Go to the QR Codes app.
Select to Edit the QR code you wish to delete.
On the right of your screen, underneath where your QR code is displayed is a panel labeled Delete QR Code. Click the Delete QR Code button.
This will delete your QR code forever, so make sure you definitely no longer need this Qr code.
