# Offer Details

There are four types of offers for you to choose from when setting up your discount codes:

* **Money Off -** This allows you to specify exactly how much money you would like to knock off the cart total for your customers. For example, Your customer has a cart total of $30 and they use a discount code that you have created that knocks $10 off of the total price. Once entered, your customer will only pay $20 for the products in their cart.
* **Percentage Discount -** This allows you to set a percentage that you want to knock off the total cart for your customers. For example, your customer has a cart total of $100 and they use a discount code that you have created that knocks 25% off of the total price. Once entered, your customer will only pay $75 for the products in their cart.
* **Free Shipping -** When this option is selected, the discount code will remove any shipping costs from their order when added at the checkout.
* **Tax Free -** This offer type will remove the tax from the order when the discount code is added at the checkout.

To specify the percentage or the money to knock off, simply enter the desired amount into the field labeled **Discount Percentage/Amount.**

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.freewebstore.com/marketing/discount-codes/offer-details.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
