# Facebook & Instagram Site Verification

### How to Verify your Store for Facebook & Instagram

To verify your store for Facebook & Instagram:

1. Log into your Freewebstore Control Panel.
2. Go to **Marketing** > **Site Verification**.
3. Expand the **Facebook & Instagram** tab.
4. If you do not already have a verification code, you can retrieve your code from the Facebook Business Manager, or by following the [**Facebook Business Manager**](https://business.facebook.com/) link.
5. Once you have your code, enter the *content* part of the verification code that Facebook has provided you with.
6. Click **Save**.
7. Once you have entered your code into the **'content'** field, go back to your Business manager screen and click '**Verify Domain'.**

### How do I obtain the site verification code for Facebook & Instagram?

To obtain the code needed for your control panel:

1. Go to your Facebook Business Manager account.
2. Go to **Domains** in the **Brand Safety** section of Business settings.
3. Click **Add** to add a new domain.
4. Enter your domain without any prefixes:\
   eg. Enter 'mywebsite.com' and NOT '[www.mywebsite.com](http://www.mywebsite.com)'.
5. Click **Add** when you are happy.
6. You will then need to select the **HTML Source Code** option from the choices you are presented with.
7. You will then be shown the verification code on the screen between **\<meta>** tags. Simply copy all the code between the speech marks after **'content='**. You will then have the code needed to enter for your control panel.
