How to Verify your Store for Bing

To verify your store for Bing:

1. Log into your Freewebstore Control Panel.

2. Go to Marketing > Site Verification.

3. Expand the Bing tab.

4. If you do not already have a verification code, you can retrieve your code from the Bing Webmaster Center, or by following the Bing Webmaster Center link.

5. Once you have your code, enter the content part of the verification code that Bing has provided you with.

6. Click Save.

7. Return to your Bing Webmaster Tools browser tab. Click Verify. If you receive a "Bing could not verify ownership of this site" message, you may need to wait a few hours and try again.

How do I obtain the site verification code for Bing?

To obtain the code needed for your control panel:

1. Log in to Bing with your Microsoft account.

2. Under My Sites, enter your site's URL and click Add.

3. On the Verify ownership page, under Option 2, copy the verification code in between content="xxxxxx".

You will now have the code needed to enter in the relevant field in the site verification section of your control panel.
