# Setting the Default Currency

### How do I change the default currency for my store?

You may find that your customers are from a certain area in the world. For this reason, you may want to change the currency values that are shown when a potential customer sees when they load your store. Your customers can always change the currency they see by selecting their currency in the **Currency Selector** found on your store. 

To change the default currency:

1. Login to your Freewebstore Control Panel.
2. Go to the **Settings > Store** section.
3. Scroll down the page a little to locate the panel labeled **Store Currency.**
4. Simply select your desired currency from the dropdown menu.
5. **Update.**
