Invoice Layout

A step-by-step guide detailing how to edit the original layout of the invoices that are sent to the customer from within your Freewebstore Control Panel.

Editing the layout of your invoices on Freewebstore

This section looks at how you can edit aspects of your invoice such as the layout, the information you display to your customer, the color of your invoice and the logo. If you are feeling creative, you can also play about with the spacing in the Advanced Settings at the bottom of this page.

Editing the layout and design of your invoice allows you to add your branding to your invoices and remove the 'generic' look.

To navigate to this section:

  1. Log in to your Freewebstore control panel.

  2. Go to Orders > Invoices.

Choose a Layout

At Freewebstore, to keep things relatively simple, we give you a choice of several different invoice layouts for you to choose from. Each one lays out the important information that your customers will need to see.

Choose Column Data

To keep the information displayed to your customer simple on the invoice, we supply a dropdown of the columns of information you can choose to show them. Choose which columns will be relevant to your customers from the dropdown selection provided here.

Uploading your logo helps to add your brand to your invoice, making your invoices look more professional.

When uploading a logo, pay attention to the dimensions that your invoice takes for a logo and ensure that the image you upload matches the dimensions your invoice is expecting. This will then reduce any distortion issues that may crop up.

Advanced Settings

This is where you can get creative with the spacing of your invoices and create an invoice unique to your online store.

The default layouts should look perfect in all cases, but the following settings can be changed if you feel the need:

  • Orientation

  • Page Size

  • Top, bottom, left and right margins

  • Zoom

  • Shipping expenses combined

  • Font

Once you have saved these changes, you will be able to view the invoice at its current saved state by clicking the Preview tab at the top of this page.
