Editing my Shipping Rules
Shipping rules can get complicated and sometimes they take multiple attempts to get right. There is a simple way of editing your shipping rules without having to start again.
How do I edit my shipping rules?
To edit your shipping rules:
Log in to your Freewebstore control panel.
Go to Manage > Shipping and select the Manage button next to the custom rules option.
Locate the rule you wish to edit.
Click Edit.
You will now see that you can edit the fee for the shipping band and also the Max value of the latest band from Unlimited to a fixed weight. You can also delete each band one at a time by clicking the red X.
Once you are happy with the bands and rules that you have edited, click Save.
How do I change what my rules are based on?
At the moment, we do not allow you to mix and match what your rules are based on. This is purely to simplify the process and to stop rules from overriding others.
If you feel like you have set up all of your rules using the wrong base (Weight, Price or Quantity) and feel that another one would suit you better it is possible to change.
To change your base rule, you will need to delete every rule that you have created. If you have many rules, it may be worthwhile to take notes of your existing rules, such as the shipping fee for each band and the names of the rules so you can remember them later.
To delete your rules and start again so you can pick a new base:
Log in to your Freewebstore control panel.
Go to Manage > Shipping and select the Manage button next to the custom rules option.
Click the red X next to each rule and you will see them fade out to gray.
Once you have done this for all of your rules, click Save.
Now, you will be able to choose which base rule you would like to base your rules on again.
Once chosen, simply build your rules again and click Save.
