# Export your Customer Accounts

There may come a time where you will need the use of a spreadsheet of your customers and the information that your Freewebstore control panel holds for them. You can do this by generating and downloading a CSV file.

A CSV file is generated automatically by our system and holds valuable information about each of your customers such as:

* **Customer ID**
* **Surname**
* **Forename**
* **Email Address**
* **Address details**
* and more...

### How do I generate a CSV file of my customers?

To generate and download a list of your current customers:

1. Login to your Freewebstore Control Panel.
2. Go to **Orders > Customers.**
3. At the top of this page, you will notice an **Export** button, click this.
4. You will then be taken to a new page, click **Export Customers.**
5. **Confirm Export.**

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.freewebstore.com/orders/customers/export-your-customer-accounts.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
