# Logo

A step-by-step guide detailing how to upload and edit the logo for your free online store from within your Freewebstore Control Panel.

Your logo is the most recognisable part of your brand: it's what customers will associate with your business.

On the new design system your logo is part of your **Brand Kit**. Whatever logo you save there appears in the header of your store, so you only ever need to change it in one place.

### Add or change your logo

1. Log in to your Freewebstore Control Panel.
2. Go to **Design > Brand Kit**.
3. Click **Logo** in the steps along the top.
4. Drag your logo onto the upload box, or click it to choose a file. Alternatively, click **Generate with AI** to create a logo from your brand name, colours and font.
5. We remove the background and check your logo works on light and dark backgrounds. You'll see the results under **Logo preview**.
6. Click **Save** in the top right.

To swap your logo for a different one later, click **Replace** under **Logo preview**, then **Save**.

Your Brand Kit opens on its **Review** step, which also has a **Rebuild my store** button. You don't need it to change your logo. Rebuilding replaces the AI-written content on your pages, including any wording you've edited yourself.

**Logo files**

Upload a **PNG or JPG** at least **500 × 500px** and no larger than **5MB**.

**Already in the Website Theme editor?**

Hover over your logo, click **Edit**, then click **Change your logo in Brand Kits**. Your Brand Kit opens in a new tab, so you won't lose your place in the editor.

### Older designs

If your store still uses one of our older designs, your logo is set in the Theme Editor:

1. Go to **Design > Theme Editor**.
2. Hover over your logo in the store preview and click **Edit**.
3. Click **Change Logo**.
4. Upload an image, or select one from your Image Gallery.
5. Click **Save**.
